Why Choose Our Preschool?

  • Highly Qualified Teachers: Licensed by the Iowa Department of Education with Early Childhood Endorsements.

  • Small Class Sizes: 1:10 adult-to-student ratio for personalized attention.

  • Kindergarten Readiness: Our preschool teachers work closely with the Kindergarten team to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Structured Learning Environment: Unlike daycare, our preschool follows a research-based curriculum that builds early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills.

  • Social & Emotional Development: Children learn how to share, follow directions, and develop independence in a classroom setting, preparing them for future school success.

  • Routines & Expectations: Preschool introduces children to structured routines, helping them adapt to a school environment earlier.

  • More Than Just Playtime: While play is important, our program is designed to integrate learning into activities, fostering cognitive and language development.

  • Better Preparation for Elementary School: Studies show that children who attend preschool are more likely to succeed academically compared to those in daycare-only settings.

  • Tuition Assistance: Contact Community Action of SE Iowa

  • YMCA Wrap-Around Child Care Partnership:

We are proud to partner with the YMCA Kiddie Campus Childcare at SCC to provide additional childcare support for families. The YMCA childcare center, located at Southeastern Community College (SCC), offers extended care beyond preschool hours.

    • Convenient Transportation: West Burlington Independent School District provides free transportation to and from school and West Burlington district daycares.

    • Additional Childcare Available: Families who need extended care can enroll in the YMCA program for an additional fee, payable directly to the YMCA.
